1. Introduction

Slipz values your privacy. We are committed to protecting your personal, business, and financial data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and disclose your information when you access or use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service:

  • Account Data: We collect your name, email address, practice name, and authentication credentials when you register.
  • Uploaded Receipts & Invoices: You may upload images, PDFs, and related financial data. This data contains sensitive commercial pricing and vendor information.
  • Usage Data: We automatically collect information on how the Service is accessed and used (e.g., your devices, IP addresses, diagnostic data).

3. How We Process Receipt Data

To provide automatic receipt extraction, Slipz utilizes artificial intelligence sub-processors. The images and documents you upload are sent securely to these sub-processors (e.g., Google Gemini or OpenAI) solely for the purpose of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and data structured extraction. We do not use your receipt data to train foundational AI models. Your data is processed transiently and only stored securely in your Slipz account.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal or financial data. We may share information only in the following situations:

  • With your Accountant/Bookkeeper: If you are a client attached to a practice, your accountant will have access to the receipts and data you upload.
  • With Service Providers: Third-party companies that host our database, process AI models, or deliver emails on our behalf.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, such as complying with a subpoena, court order, or HMRC request.

5. Data Security

The security of your data is important to us. We host our databases on secure infrastructure and encrypt data at rest and in transit. We strictly limit access to personal information to Slipz employees, contractors, and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your information. You can manage most of your data directly through your Slipz account settings.
